Accessible Udine
A city that tells its story through hospitality
Udine is building a new way to welcome visitors, providing clear and reliable information about the accessibility of its historic center.
Launched in 2024, the project Udine Accessibile has allowed for a close observation of the city, assessing its accessibility features and providing a useful overview for those who want to explore it with greater autonomy. It is a concrete step forward to facilitate the experience of all people in an urban center rich in culture, services, and places to discover.

A detailed mapping of the city center
The work, carried out by PromoTurismoFVG together with the Municipality of Udine, CRIBA FVG, and CRAD FVG, involved the entire historic center. Specialized technicians visited more than four hundred facilities, entering bars and restaurants, places of worship, shops, museums, hotels, and essential services. The intent was not to evaluate or judge, but to collect realistic data on accessibility conditions, so that they can become concrete information for those who live in the city or come from outside.

A practical support for those arriving in the city
The mapped structures within this project are now available here on the Friuli Venezia Giulia For Everyone portal. Additionally, you can find an ideal itinerary for visiting the city and for those who register for free on the portal, it is possible to save favorite structures and experiences, thus creating a personalized route to use for organizing your day in Udine, or your vacation.
