The tour can take place at any time of the year.

Starting point from the car park in Piazza Cecchini. There are no reserved parking spaces for people with disability. Leaving the car park, it is necessary to cross the cycle path (Photograph 1 - red asphalt surface - barely visible) and a short section on an asphalt road, delimited by road markings and level with the road (Photograph 1).

There is a pedestrian crossing is located approximately ten metres further on, along Regional Road SR463 (paved surface) (Photograph 2), which ends with a slight ramp of a moderate slope, 10.00 metres in length and with a gradient of 5%, in blocks of piasentina stone (Photograph 3). Please note that the stone pedestrian itinerary in the square is well highlighted by the red-coloured kerb of the itinerary itself, in sharp colour contrast with the white stone block paving.

The Town Hall is located in the square (Photograph 4), while turning to the right there is a well (Photograph 5) and then the Church-Sanctuary dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

To reach the Church dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, there is also a pedestrian itinerary adjacent to the roadway (Via Battaglione Gemona - Regional Road SR463) (Photograph 6) with a width of 1.00 metre and made of white stone blocks. Access to the Church consists of an itinerary measuring 2.50 metres in width made of grey stone blocks, which is unevenly paved (Photograph 7). The main entrance, as well as the side entrance (on the Town Hall side), are not accessible to people with mobility disabilities.

Proceeding along the itinerary is Palazzo Cecchini and Mainardi, a former convent of the Dominican Fathers and now home to the Civic Library and Oratory (Photograph 8). Near the entrance, there is an information board with a white background and black lettering, which is easy to read. In order to read it, it is necessary to walk across the garden lawn (Photograph 9). Hanging on the wall of the building, however, under the porticoes, is a general information board (Photograph 10) about the town with indications of artistic, historical and nature itineraries, with a grey background and white lettering. The information board also has a dispenser of information brochures on the town. It should be noted, however, that the legibility of the panel is difficult because there is a reflection from the light that is particularly annoying on sunny days.

The itinerary continues towards Piazza Santa Caterina and, if desired, can also be continued indoors, under the portico of Palazzo Cecchini e Mainardi (Photograph 11) consisting of a 2.50-metre wide floor made of brick and concrete mixed with gravel. There is a driveway crossing (Photograph 12) for access to part of the building consisting of bricks and cobblestones. The somewhat uneven surface makes crossing difficult for people with mobility disabilities.

If necessary, it is possible to take one of the nature/literary itineraries from here by visiting the “Piazzale dei Prati della Madonna“ dedicated to Ippolito Nievo, with a regular itinerary in porphyry blocks in width of 3.50 metres and a slight slope to the pedestrian crossing of Regional Road SR463 (Photograph 13). On the other side of the street, the porphyry block pavement, of variable width, continues level with the street, without protection from the latter. The square at Prati della Madonna, about 15 metres from the pedestrian crossing described previously, consists of a small lay-by (Photograph 14). The “Prati “ area is described by means of a large slanted white information board with black and green lettering indicating cartography and general information on naturalistic features, which is not very legible.

Returning to Piazza Santa Caterina, the pavement is made of stone blocks and subsequently of small porphyry blocks. The width is 1.70 metres (Photograph 15).

An artisan ice cream parlour and the Italian Post Office are located here (Photographs 16-17). The ice cream parlour as well as the Post Office are accessible by a ramp in width of 20 metres, length of 3.80 metres and slope of 6% (Photograph 18). In the vicinity of the ice cream parlour, there is a car park with a parking space reserved for people with disability.

The main itinerary continues along the left side pavement alongside the Regional Road SR463. The uniform surface is made of porphyry cubes, interspersed from time to time with bands of piasentina stone (Photograph 19). It has a width of 3.30 metres and then narrows down to 1.00 metre in width until it reaches Piazza Santa Caterina. The existing pedestrian crossing (Photograph 20) is not accessible to people with disability because, while on the side of Piazza Santa Caterina, there are connecting ramps and LOGES modules, on the opposite side of the street the pavement does not have any connecting ramps or tactile foot markers.

It is easy to move around Piazza Santa Caterina (Photographs 21-22-23). It is a large square paved with blocks of piasentina stone and features an automatic teller machine accessible from the outside of the Unicredit bank, Cafe Anamar, and the Church (Oratory) of Saint Catherine of Atexandria, as well as a central fountain.

Continuing the visit of the town of Cordovado, from Piazza Santa Caterina towards Piazza Tiglio, there is a level pedestrian crossing (Photograph 24) from Piazza Santa Caterina to Via Battaglione Gemona SR463, with no tactile foot markers up to the pavement of Via Battaglione Gemona with a width of 1.00 metre, in a uniform surface of porphyry stones. A number of parking spaces are located in front of the bakery, including a parking space reserved for people with disability. Thereafter, there is a small connecting ramp and the itinerary continues indoors through an underpass with a minimum width of 1 metre and a maximum of 1.60 metres, paved in porphyry slabs until it reaches Caffè al Borgo (Photograph 25) and the town's Infopoint.

Please note the presence of LOGES modules preceding the pedestrian crossing near a driveway entrance, immediately before Caffè al Borgo.

The Infopoint is located further along the pavement. The itinerary continues along the pavement made of porphyry cubes and broad in width.

After about ten metres there is a narrowing of the pavement due to an access ramp to a driveway that restricts the pavement level to a width of 70 centimetres (Photograph 26).

Across the street, at the junction with Via delle Rogge, the Friuladria Crèdit Agricole automatic teller machine (Bancomat) is located, which is difficult for people with mobility disabilities to reach because of the existence of a step. The pavement measuring 1.50 metres in width is paved with porphyry cubes and includes planters (Photograph 27).

Continuing along the main itinerary, a part of the itinerary is located under cover thanks to an underpass (Photograph 28). The pavement is 1.50 metres in width and is paved in stone, with an even and uniform surface. A downhill ramp is situated at the end, made of porphyry cubes with a length of 1.90 metres and a 10% slope, which leads to a pedestrian crossing, also made of porphyry cubes (Photograph 29). The itinerary continues on a level plane, on a wide pavement made of porphyry cubes (Photograph 30). A series of car parks are located at the end of the second portico, one of which is reserved for people with disability, at street number 43.

The medieval Castle is located along Via Castello. The slope of the footpath (in porphyry) increases to 4%; the itinerary becomes increasingly wider, while still guaranteeing a minimum width of 3.25 metres. Approximately 30 metres before the castle tower, the paving changes and split cobblestones are found, however, the path is still difficult to travel (Photograph 31). Beneath the Tower, the cobblestone paving is interspersed with regular stone blocks until the formation of a band with a width of 1.00 metre and a length of about fifty metres, which is uniform to the left of the pedestrian area made of stone blocks (Photographs 32-33). Located along the itinerary are Freschi-Piccolomini Palace, Bozza-Marrubini Palace and Agricola Palace.

Upon reaching the Tower at the end of the medieval village, the stone block paving, described previously, is interrupted by cobblestone sections and narrows to a width of 1.00 metre (Photograph 34). Moving forward, there is a small bridge paved with wooden planking that ends with a strip of stone blocks and cobblestones (Photograph 35). The section, made of stone, presents a downhill slope of 8% (Photograph 36).

The paving becomes regular again with the mixed pedestrian-cycle itinerary, in porphyry, leading to the Church of Saint Andrew - Duomo Nuovo (Photograph 37-38). Near the Duomo, the itinerary continues on a very wide pavement which is level with the road and made of porphyry slabs. A little further on, there are about ten parking spaces and two parking spaces reserved for people with disability at the side of the Church. Access to the Church is via a side ramp (Photograph 39).

Continuing along the itinerary, there are two possibilities for reaching Piazza Duomo, the last stop on the itinerary: the first by driving and parking near the Church dedicated to Saint Andrew - Duomo Antico, where there are two parking spaces for people with disability, and the second by walking along Via Duomo, arriving in Piazza al Tiglio and lastly in Piazza Duomo.

The pedestrian itinerary is paved with porphyry cubes, and so is the roadway. In fact, there is no height difference between the roadway and the pavements, which are present on both sides of the road, except for a kerb made of piasentina stone. A pedestrian crossing made of porphyry cubes, also marked with LOGES modules, is located just before Piazza Tiglio (Photograph 40). Approximately 10 parking spaces are located in Piazza al Tiglio (Photograph 41), one of which is reserved for people with disability, the presence of which is indicated by horizontal and vertical markings. Continuing on, there is a pedestrian crossing on the roadway (Photograph 42) before resuming the pedestrian itinerary made of porphyry cubes, joined to the roadway (as described previously) to reach Piazza Duomo.

Piazza Duomo is completely paved with porphyry cubes (Photograph 43), with no specific slope except for the access to the ancient Duomo dedicated to Saint Andrew. The Church can be reached by two itineraries: the first leading to the main entrance consists of stone steps and a cobblestone itinerary (Photograph 44), and the second leading to the side entrance consists of a cobblestone ramp with a 14% slope that is very difficult for people with mobility difficulties or the elderly to travel (Photograph 45). The gravel parking area in Piazza Duomo can accommodate approximately twenty vehicles and there are no parking spaces reserved for people with disability.

To return to the starting point, it is necessary to follow the itinerary in the opposite direction.

General note

In front of the main entrance (facing Regional Road SR463) a perforated rubber mat is located that is difficult to tread on but can be removed if necessary. The main entrance, as well as the side entrance (on the Town Hall side), are not accessible to people with mobility disabilities because of the presence of steps at the entrance. The side entrance, towards Piazza Santa Caterina, presents a step of lesser height and paving that is less uneven than the main entrance, which could still facilitate access to the Church for people with mobility disabilities.

Di fronte all’ingresso principale (fronte strada SR463) si trova un tappeto di gomma forato difficilmente percorribile, ma rimovibile in caso di necessità. L’ingresso principale, così come l’ingresso laterale (lato sede municipale) non risultano accessibili alle persone con disabilità motoria a causa della presenza di gradini in corrispondenza dell'ingresso. L’ingresso laterale, verso piazza Santa Caterina, presenta un gradino di minore altezza ed una pavimentazione meno dissestata rispetto all'ingresso principale, che potrebbero comunque facilitare l’accesso alla Chiesa alle persone con disabilità motoria.
