The route starts from the sports field of Santa Maria di Sclaunicco, a hamlet of Lestizza, where it is possible to park comfortably (Photo 1); alternatively, you can park the car in front of the church, which is about 100 m away).
At the entrance of the sports field, there is an explanatory sign for the 10,000 steps FVG (photo 2).
The route begins on an asphalted sidewalk that has some unevenness and potholes (photo 3). Following the path, after passing the intersection with a driveway of a private residence, the sidewalk resumes with a step, however, it is also equipped with a ramp (photo 4).
You reach the pedestrian crossing equipped with stripes. There are no signs indicating the direction to take.
After 300 m, you reach the main road towards Lestizza (photo 5).
The sidewalk is wide, but due to ongoing work causing some narrowing, some points are not accessible. It is therefore necessary, to continue, to reach the sidewalk on the opposite side (photo 6).
After about 450 m, you encounter another narrowing of the sidewalk and are forced to walk along the road (photo 7).

Continuing for a few more meters and after leaving the inhabited area of Santa Maria di Sclaunicco, turn right and cross the road which lacks pedestrian crossings and sidewalks, and is lightly trafficked. After a few meters, you reach an intersection, which also lacks a crossing but has a sidewalk. You enter via dai Cros, a secondary asphalted road with low traffic intensity and no sidewalk (photo 8).
About 1 km from the start, after leaving the inhabited area, you continue on via dai Cros which goes on between fields and vineyards on a dirt road (photo 9, 10).
After 1.5 km through the fields, you reach a short descent of 1/1.5 m with a moderate slope. The road has some uneven sections, but for most of the route it is comfortable and well-maintained (photo 11-12).
At 2 km from the start, you travel a stretch of dirt road lined with trees on the left; continuing ahead, you can glimpse the bell tower of Lestizza (photo 13).
After traveling 2.1 km from the start, you find the asphalted road again and reach the first houses of Lestizza. This is a secondary asphalted road equipped with comfortable sidewalks.
Upon reaching the end of via Roncjs, turn right onto via Fabris which has a sidewalk with a grassy surface and the presence of stones. Follow the path for about 250 m.
Near a traffic light on the opposite side of the road, lacking a pedestrian crossing, there is an explanatory sign that marks the end of the route.
The return follows the same path.
