The city center of Farra d’Isonzo includes several streets (via Roma, p.zza Vittorio Emanuele) characterized by the presence of numerous parking spaces. One proceeds towards Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, covering a short stretch of via Dante (Photo 1), reaching the beginning of the path.

The departure takes place from piazza Vittorio Emanuele where the explanatory sign of the 10,000 steps FVG is located è (Photo 2,3). (On the Google map, however, the explanatory sign is incorrectly indicated at the corner between via Roma and via Dante).

From the square, one continues to the right on via dei Cedri, characterized by a narrow sidewalk (Photo 4,5).

Continuing, you pass a parking lot (Photo 6) and turn right onto via Roma (Photo 7); before reaching the intersection with via Dante (where the village church is located), you need to cross to the left and follow the wide sidewalk on the left side (photo 8) of via Pitteri, a long tree-lined avenue, where the direction sign for the 10,000 steps FVG is located (Photo 9).

You proceed along the entire left sidewalk, passing (with ramps and pedestrian crossings) some side intersections (via Brigata Regina (Photo 10), via XXV aprile).

You continue alongside the sports field, which coincides with the end of the avenue (Photo 11).

Here is a bench (Photo 12).

It is necessary to cross the street (Photo 13) on faded pedestrian crossings coming down from a sidewalk without a ramp and with a curb of 10 cm (Photo 14). Follow the map and turn left onto via dei Conventi.

A little further ahead, you will encounter the direction sign (Photo 15, 16) indicating a right turn onto via dei Pini. On the right, there is a faded track indicating a bike path, and even further to the right is the sidewalk (Photo 17).

Continuing on the sidewalk of via dei Pini, it is necessary to cross, moving a bit to the right (Photo 18), an intersection with a side street, and then move to the left to resume via dei Pini (Photo 19).

A little further ahead, the road curves to the right (Photo 20) and ends with a residential parking area (Photo 21).

The path continues on a long dirt road, marked with a direction post (Photo 22) 900 m from the starting point.

The dirt path is quite regular (Photo 23), with the presence of stones or coarse gravel protruding in some sections (Photo 24, 25).

At 1.7 km from the start, the arrow indicates to turn right (Photo 26) into a path, about 100 m long with a natural surface, surrounded by dense spontaneous vegetation on both sides. This section is characterized by the presence of protruding stones (Photo 27, 28), and in case of rain, it may have some puddles (Photo 29).

About 2 km from the start, long rows of vineyards can be seen on the left side while on the right a line of trees and shrubs continues, mostly black locusts and elderberries (Photo 30, 31, 32, 33)

About 2.7 km from the start, an asphalt road (Photo 34) is crossed, which is not very busy and is not far from the place name sign of San Lorenzo Isontino, lacking a protected pedestrian crossing. Since there are no directional signs, it is necessary to follow the Google map, and then pick up a similar natural surface road on the other side (Photo 35).

Not far away, under a large elm tree, a bench can be found (Photo 36).

A little further on, another path merges from the left (Photo 37)

You continue always alongside vineyards, shrubs, and young trees of various kinds (Photo 38).

At 3 km from the start, you enter a green tunnel among the trees (Photo 39, 40) and 200 m further on, you exit the tree-lined avenue and reach, a little further to the left, the large capital of Sant’Eurosia (Photo 41) where there are benches (Photo 42, 43).

100 m further ahead of the capital, the natural surface section ends and merges onto a little trafficked asphalt road (via Pellizzari) and with the help of a directional sign, you continue to the right towards Villanova di Farra (Photo 44) alongside the road (Photo 45-46).

After traveling about another 500 m along the edge of the road, at km 3.8 from the start, there is another indication sign inviting a right turn onto a wide dirt road, strada della Colombara, which heads towards Farra d’Isonzo (Photo 47). The road is wide and almost straight (Photo 48, 49), well leveled with small and medium gravel (Photo 50).

After another 400 m, about 4.2 km from the start, the road becomes paved (Photo 51, 52) coinciding with the first houses of Borgo Conventi.

After leaving the Astronomical Observatory on the right (Photo 53), continuing for a stretch next to a large hedge (Photo 54, 55), you reach an intersection with a small roundabout, lacking directional signage (Photo 56). Therefore, you need to continue right towards the center of Farra on a short paved stretch.

This last stretch is devoid of a sidewalk and a demarcation line for the pedestrian path; in any case, traffic is limited.

After a further short asphalted stretch (Photo 57) (via Contessa Beretta), a green arrow (Photo 58) indicating to continue towards the fields is visible on the left.

The asphalted stretch runs alongside the wall of a private residence and ends with it (Photo 59). One then continues on a natural grassy path until reaching a junction of minor paths (Photo 60, 61). Turn right, on level ground, and subsequently, near the vineyards, turn right again (Photo 62) (there are no indicator signs and the Google map is unclear in this stretch).

The most likely route is followed (Photo 63, 64) and one returns to the path indicated on the map, where one continues alongside a vast area of vineyards bordering the back of houses (Photo 65).
After 5 km from the start (Photo 66), one continues making a right angle to the left, crosses a canal through a concrete pipe (Photo 67) and resumes a wide natural and grassy path (Photo 68).
One continues on slightly undulating terrain among vineyards and fields (Photo 69, 70)

5.3 km from the start, it is necessary to turn right onto a dirt road, however, there is an absence of a sign indicating the 10,000 steps FVG (Photo 71, 72).

After about another 300 m, you reach a fork characterized by the presence of a stone wall covered with vegetation. Following the map, take the path to the left (Photo 73), on a marked trail (Photo 74, 75).

A little further on, about 5.9 km from the start, still in a rural area but close to the town center, there is a sign indicating a right turn (Photo 76). There are still a few meters of dirt road that runs alongside the vineyards (Photo 77).

Upon reaching the houses on via dei Ronchi (Photo 78), one must cross via Dante (Photo 79) to arrive again at the central square of Farra d’Isonzo (Photo 80).
