PLANNED ITINERARY
Bagnaria Arsa - FVG in motion 10 thousand steps of health
LENGTH
5400 meters
The route begins at Piazza S. Andrea (Photo 1), a short pedestrian-only stretch where the è present the information panel of the 10 thousand steps (Photo 2). Near the town hall and the nearby sports centers, there are numerous parking spaces.
You cross Provincial Road 65 (Photo 3) and identify the indicator sign of the route that leads to Via 4 Novembre (Photo 4-5), where construction work is ongoing.
The path is not defined, the existing sidewalks, which make it intuitive to know which side to keep, do not have ramps for overcoming driveways.
A little further ahead, the inhabited area ends with an attached sidewalk on the left side. 100 meters further on, the right sidewalk also ends and you continue along the roadside (Photo 6). There are few isolated houses along the way, and they are distant from each other.
Far from the center of Sevegliano – after passing the sign indicating the end of the inhabited area – one continues through the fields. Follow the main road marked “Campolonghetto” and turn right, leaving via 4 Novembre and continuing straight on via Strassoldo (Photo 7).
At this point, the road narrows slightly and is used by some sporadic vehicles (Photo 8).
After leaving a road leading to the railway (level crossing) on the left, a large isolated farmhouse is encountered on the right (Photo 9). A little further on, the asphalt ends (Photo 10) and one continues on a dirt road with ditches on both sides (Photo 11). In this stretch, the surface is uneven in some places with the presence of potholes.
The road curves sharply to the right (Photo 12), while on the left there is a private road (Photo 13).
Continue straight on a dirt road, with an uneven surface alongside large poplar groves on the right (Photo 14-15).
About 2.75 km from the start, there is again a paved section about 2.5 m wide (Photo 16).
At km 3 from the start, you pass by an isolated house and then turn right.
You continue for a long time on a narrow asphalt road, between fields, with ditches on one or both sides (Photo 17-18). Along the way, you will see plowed fields and vineyards.
About 3.5 km from the start, at the intersection, there is a sign indicating the 10 thousand steps that indicates to continue to the right (Photo 19,20).
Now the road is a bit wider but of the same type (Photo 21).
Upon reaching the locality of San Gallo Ovest (Photo 22), we find an information panel (Photo 23).
The route continues towards Campolonghetto on a paved road, normally used for the passage of agricultural vehicles (Photo 24).
We reach the small settlement of Campolonghetto (Photo 25-26).
5 km from the start, about 100 meters from the main path, there are benches where it is possible to stop;
At the next intersection, turn right. The direction is indicated by a sign placed below the road signs on the opposite side of the road (Photo 27). You then exit Campolonghetto (Photo 28-29).
6 km from the start, the paved section ends and a long dirt stretch begins between Campolonghetto and Bagnaria Arsa (Photo 30).
Upon arriving in Bagnaria Arsa, the indicator sign for 10,000 steps points to the turn onto via Pertini, contrasting with what is indicated on the map (Photo 31). The L-shaped form of via Pertini allows for the entrance onto via Tessitori, again in accordance with what is indicated on the map, and turning left onto via Valussi (Photo 32) to then join the Provincial Road 65 that connects Bagnaria Arsa to Sevegliano (Photo 33).
At km 8.6 from the start, one encounters the roundabout at the junction between Palmanova and Sevegliano (Photo 34-35), where one must move to the left to find the pedestrian crossings and then return to the right.
Upon reaching the vicinity of the gym and the schools, one crosses the large parking lot (Photo 36), and returns to Sevegliano (Photo 37), where one must turn left and then right (Photo 38-39) and follow a pedestrian path within the Don Gnocchi park (Photo 40).
