The route starts from via Tullia in the Marina di Aquileia area.

It is possible to park the car in a parking lot adjacent to the last group of houses in the residential area.

There is no explanatory sign for the 10,000 steps FVG nor any indicator signs. You follow the directions provided by the map on the signboard available on the website, which are accurate and comprehensive.

From the parking lot, turn right and continue straight on the paved road, which is comfortable although lacking a sidewalk but has low traffic density.

After 450 m, you reach an intersection and choose to continue straight, where the dirt road begins towards

Continue along the embankment turning right and follow the river (photo 6).

At 5.5 km from the start, you arrive at a "water intake" (photo 7). You then continue along the embankment (photo 8) and follow another stretch of river reaching a small bridge from which you recover the way back. Upon reaching the parking lot, the route is approximately 7.5 km long.
